SAN DIEGO — A gunman opened fire outside a gas station in Old Town early Sunday, striking a van four times but injuring no one, police said.

The shots were fired from the passenger side of a gold Honda Accord around 3:15 a.m., and struck the van outside the Arco station at the corner of Old Town Avenue and Moore Street, San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick said.

No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting as of late morning, Battrick said.

Police said the shooting was not related to the discovery of a dead pedestrian on Interstate 5 near Old Town Avenue, near the same location.
