Gunman robs church bingo game

bingoCHULA VISTA, Calif. — An armed man wearing a Chargers-themed Santa hat held up a church bingo hall in Chula Vista Wednesday night.

The holdup occurred just after 9 p.m. at the Church of the Most Precious Blood in the 1200 block of Fourth Avenue, the Chula Vista Police Department watch commander said.

The gunman was a black man in his 30s who was about 6 feet tall, police said. The watch commander did not know how much money the man made off with.

No injuries were reported.
