SAN DIEGO – Firefighters quickly extinguished three small canyon brush fires Thursday in Tierrasanta.

The fires erupted around 2 p.m. in the 10900 block of Tierrasanta Boulevard, a fire department spokesperson said.

A few nearby homes were briefly evacuated. No structural damage or injuries were reported, according to San Diego Fire Department.

Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the fires.
