SAN DIEGO — A vehicle fire that broke out early Friday in the underground parking garage of a Hillcrest apartment complex prompted authorities to evacuate its residents.
The non-injury fire at the two-story complex in the 3900 block of Cleveland Avenue near Lincoln Avenue was reported around 4:40 a.m., according to Capt. Joseph Amador of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The blaze damaged up to three vehicles and spread to a storage area.
No one was injured by the blaze, which caused an estimated $600,000 in damage. The cause has yet to be determined.
