ESCONDIDO, Calif. — A stabbing in Escondido left a 19-year-old man dead Tuesday night, authorities said.
Around 7:20 p.m., Escondido police received a call about two people fighting near East Washington Avenue and Ash Street.
Officers arrived to find the victim, identified as Alfredo Manzano of Escondido, with a stab wound to the chest. Manzano was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
A description of the suspect was not available. Police say the stabbing is believed to be be gang-related.
