CHICAGO – A wall collapsed at the Morton Salt building in Chicago spilling tons of salt onto parked cars Tuesday afternoon.

Chicago’s first responders arrived to the partially collapsed building on 1301 N. Elston in the North Side of Chicago around 2 p.m.

Mortan Salt, whose company slogan is “When it Rains It Pours,” produces table and specialty salts, water softening products and ice melters.

There were no confirmed injuries, but some cars at the nearby Acrua dealership were damaged, WGN reported.
