3.5-magnitude quake strikes east of San Diego, near Ocotillo

SAN DIEGO — A magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Thursday near Ocotillo, a city 87 miles east of San Diego, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake, which struck 10 miles northwest of Ocotillo, was reported at 5:35 p.m.

No other information was immediately available.
