SAN DIEGO – A crowd of people lined up Monday morning for the grand opening of the first Dunkin’ Donuts in San Diego.

The fast food restaurant located on 601 Pacific Highway opened at 6 a.m. Monday with dozens of people lined up.

Dunkin’ Donuts is extremely popular along the east coast and has only one other San Diego County location – at Camp Pendleton’s Marine base.

The company has plans of opening 45 more locations in Southern California.
