SAN DIEGO — A woman was killed in a two-car crash in southeastern San Diego Monday afternoon, police said.
The collision happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of 47th Street and Hilltop Drive in the Chollas View area. A 36-year-old woman was driving her red Toyota Camry northbound on 47th Street when a 62-year-old woman driving her white Camry westbound on Hilltop Drive failed to stop for the red light and was T-boned by the red Camry.
Both drivers were taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The driver of the white Camry died, San Diego police said. The driver of the red Camry was being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
