SAN MARCOS, Calif. – A storm system expected to hit San Diego County later this week caused Cal State University San Marcos officials to reschedule some commencement ceremonies.
Three commencement ceremonies set for Friday at Mangrum Track and Field will now take place on Sunday due to inclement forecasted weather, school spokeswoman Margaret Chantung announced Wednesday.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a 90 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Chantung said the changes are for the safety and comfort of their guests, graduates, faculty and staff.
Saturday’s ceremonies will go on as scheduled.
