Brush fire burns 32 acres near casino

SAN DIEGO — A brush fire was stopped after burning 32 acres near Campo in East County Saturday, Cal Fire San Diego officials said.

The blaze burned around 10 to 20 acres by 6 a.m. Saturday, according to Cal Fire. It was burning at Old Highway 80 and Tierra Del Sol Road near the Golden Acorn Casino Saturday, close to the U.S.-Mexico Border.

No structures were threatened and no evacuations were ordered, firefighters said.

The fire was fully contained with no injuries reported by 4:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
