Crews battle apartment fire in Pacific Beach

PACIFIC BEACH, Calif. — A fire damaged an apartment building in Pacific Beach Saturday, but no one was injured.

Someone called the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department shortly before noon and said the fire started in the bathroom of a unit on Chalcedony Street, between Lamont and Academy streets, according to city fire officials.

The cause of the fire, if known, was not immediately available.
