SAN DIEGO – Traffic was backed up for 3 miles on northbound Interstate 805 Monday after a car crashed near La Jolla.
A white Lexus apparently skid across several lanes and crashing into a cement divider on I-805 near La Jolla Village Drive around 10:30 a.m.
The crash caused California Highway Patrol to halt traffic heading northbound for about an hour to allow emergency crews to clean up the wreck.
By noon, all lanes of traffic were reopened.
It was unknown if the driver involved in the crash was injured or what caused the accident.
