Volunteers help keep seniors company during virus isolation

SAN DIEGO — Many San Diego County seniors have been isolated since early March, and even for the ones who have access to food and medical care, it can be challenging to spend so much time alone in the later stages of life.

Heather Lake spoke with staff at a local senior center and with volunteers about little ways people can brighten older residents’ days.
