Child found wandering Midway District streets reunited with parents

SAN DIEGO – A developmentally-disabled child found wandering the streets in the Midway District Monday morning was reunited with his parents, San Diego police said.

Police were called to the scene after the eight-year-old boy was spotted on the 2900 block of Lytton Street at 1:50 a.m. The boy was not hurt, according to police.

He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue and gray pajama pants when he was found.

Police officers canvassed the area for about two hours but were unable to locate the child’s guardians or his home before taking him to Polinsky Children’s Center around 4 a.m.

He was reunited with his parents around 6 a.m.
