SAN DIEGO – If you rather get outdoors than go shopping on Black Friday, you should sign up for one of the free California State Park passes available for Nov. 25.

Residents can select one of the 116 state parks to hike, but there are a limited number of free day-use passes, according to the Los Angeles Times.

A conservation organization Save the Redwoods League joined the California State Parks Foundation and California State Parks to offer the Black Friday passes.

Interested people should go to the #GreenFriday website and pick the park you want to visit – remember it is based on availability.
