SAN DIEGO – Water crews managed to stop the flow of water from a busted pipe Tuesday morning after it flooded Natural Style Chicken restaurant in Point Loma.

The valve was shooting water up to 30 feet in the air on Ollie Street near Venus Street. The pipe busted around 5 a.m. and San Diego Water managed to fix the leak about two hours later.

The pipe broke because of “wear and tear” according to a San Diego Water representative. At least one inch of standing water was seen inside the restaurant. No roads were shut down and traffic was largely unaffected in the area.
