STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford University accepts only five-percent of students who apply there and the school announced last week how it’s sweetened the package for those who get in.

Any student, whose family earns less than $125,000 a year, now gets a free ride. No tuition. Not a penny.

The standard had been $100,000.  Any family that earns less than $65,000 a year won’t have to pay for room and board – in addition to the free tuition.
