Brush fire breaks out in National City

SAN DIEGO — A brush fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in National City.

The blaze erupted around 2:25 p.m. in the 2200 block of Rachael Avenue.

A helicopter was assisting to extinguish the blaze. National City police were providing traffic control in the area.

No injuries were reported.
