SAN DIEGO — A 31-year-old man was facing assault charges after allegedly slashing a security guard at Dave & Buster’s in Mission Valley.

The man began fighting with the security guard while being kicked out of the establishment on Camino Del Rio North for being intoxicated around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros. At some point during the altercation, the man pulled a knife and cut deep into the guard’s forearm, he said.

The security guard was taken to a hospital to be treated for the wound, Delimitros said.

The man was held for police and arrested on suspicion of assault, according to the officer. His name was not immediately available.
