POWAY, Calif. — A man’s body was found Wednesday near a trail on Iron Mountain in the Poway area, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Wednesday afternoon, someone called authorities to report a hiker in distress. A fire department helicopter then spotted a body several hundred yards off the popular trail.
Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the circumstances leading up to the man’s death.
