SAN DIEGO – Police were searching Tuesday morning for the man who robbed popular San Diego brewery and its employees at gunpoint.

The masked gunman walked into the brewery on Carroll Way in Miramar through a back door around 11:30 p.m. Monday, police said. He  demanded money both from the business and the employees who were closing up, according to police. The brewery’s tasting room closes at 11 p.m.

The gunman took off with an unspecified amount of cash before police arrived. Witnesses described him as in his 30s, wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded sweatshirt and was carrying a black backpack.

No one was hurt. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
