Bank robbed by man with facial tattoos

SAN DIEGO – A man with unusual tattoos on his face robbed a bank in the Midway District, the San Diego Police Department said.

The suspect walked into the Union Bank branch at 3261 Sports Arena Blvd., just before 10:30 a.m. and verbally demanded cash from a teller, Officer Frank Cali said.

No weapons were seen. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled into the parking lot towards the nearby Target store, Cali said.

The suspect was described as white, in his late 30s, about 6 foot and 180 pounds and wearing a gray tee shirt and white shorts.

Witnesses said he had a tattoo over his left eyebrow that said 107 or 187, and a tattoo of a teardrop on his left cheek.
