Armed man steals cash from restaurant workers

SAN DIEGO — San Diego police sought Wednesday a man who held up a Hillcrest-area restaurant at gunpoint.

The suspect pulled a handgun and demanded cash at La Fuente Mexican Grill & Seafood on University Avenue near Vermont Street shortly after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, then ran off after receiving an undisclosed amount, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

Police described the suspect as Hispanic, 25 to 30 years old and about 5 feet 9. He was wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.
