LEMON GROVE, Calif. — A suspected drunken driving crash in Lemon Grove left three adults injured and four children hospitalized for precautionary reasons.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Central Avenue and Citrus Street shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday, sheriff’s Sgt. Michelle McPhail said.

The man who was driving one of the vehicles was possibly under the influence of alcohol, and was hospitalized with a complaint of leg pain. The other car’s driver and passenger were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to McPhail.

McPhail said four children who were riding in the vehicles were taken to a hospital for observation.
