SAN DIEGO — Police were on the lookout Thursday for a heavyset woman with facial hair who stabbed a man in the East Village.
The 39-year-old victim was attacked as he attempted to bum a cigarette from someone in a group of people in the 300 block of Park Boulevard near K Street around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.
The suspect walked up to the victim and told him to get away from her things just prior to stabbing him in the left side of his neck, Heims said. She ran off before police arrived and headed south on Park Boulevard.
Heims said the victim was taken to a hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was described as a roughly 400-pound white woman “with a beard,” wearing a white shirt and jeans.
