2 hurt after being pushed off cliff

CARLSBAD, Calif. – At least two people were hurt Tuesday morning after being pushed from a cliff in Carlsbad, police said.

A group of at least four people were drinking at Carlsbad Boulevard and Cerezo Drive at 12:45 a.m. Monday. An argument ensued, at which point two women and a man were pushed from the cliff and fell about nine feet.

One woman hurt her ankle in the fall and was taken to the hospital. A man was also hurt, sustaining  several scrapes and bruises. He was not taken to the hospital.

The person who pushed the women and the man down the cliff ran off before Carlsbad police arrived. No description was available. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
