SAN DIEGO — A man was shot four times after getting in an argument with a group of people in southeast San Diego Wednesday night, police said.
The shooting happened shortly after 9 p.m. just east of Balboa Elementary School on Eta Street in the Shelltown neighborhood.
Police said the 29-year-old man was walking west on Eta Street when he got in an argument with a group of people standing around a parked car. At some point during the fight, a man got out of the car and opened fire, shooting the man four times before returning to his car and taking off, according to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Police did not release a detailed description of the shooter.
