SAN DIEGO -- Two people were shot Thursday night during a sidewalk barbecue gathering in the Colinas Del Sol neighborhood of San Diego.

Shortly after 8 p.m., a man started shooting toward a crowd gathered in the 4300 block of Dawson Avenue, according to San Diego police. A 42-year-old man was shot in the leg and a 28-year-old man was shot in the abdomen. Both victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall man wearing a grey hoodie. He was with a man describing only as also wearing a hoodie.
