SAN DIEGO – The man who is giving free hugs at political rallies visited FOX 5 to explain what led to this project.
Ken Nwadike Jr., the face of the Free Hugs Project, is not afraid of spreading love and inspiring change. He’s gained national attention after videos showing him offering free hugs at presidential candidate rallies went viral.
Nwadike said he went to last weekend’s Bernie Sanders rallies in San Diego and his free hugs were welcomed. He plans to attend the Donald Trump rally scheduled for Friday, May 27 at San Diego Convention Center.
The 34-year-old San Diego man was once homeless and was able to turn his life around after earning a college athletic scholarship.
