SAN DIEGO — A fire broke out early this morning on a boat docked on Shelter Island.

The fire on the 30-foot vessel docked near Humphreys was reported shortly after 5:30 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire- Rescue Department.

One person suffered a burn injury, but was treated at the scene.

Traffic to Shelter Island was briefly shut down at Anchorage Lane and Shelter Island Drive, but has since reopened.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
