SAN DIEGO – A fire broke out in an El Cerrito-area apartment building Wednesday morning, but no one was injured.

The fire ignited for unknown reasons around 7:20 a.m. in a bedroom in a first floor unit in a two-story building on Andros Place near 58th Street, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department spokesman Lee Swanson said.

Fire crews had the blaze knocked down in about 15 minutes.

Five adults and two children were displaced by the fire, but the American Red Cross was summoned, Swanson said.
