SAN DIEGO – Friday is known as the first of the two can’t-miss days of Comic-Con, and this year doesn’t disappoint with panels on two of the hottest TV shows on air, both in Hall H.
Friday hours: 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The day kicks off at 10 a.m. with the Black Panel, one of the most popular panels at the Con. You never know who will show up as surprise guests. This year actor and comedian Wayne Brady is one of the headliners. People start lining up for this one early, so make sure you don’t miss out. It’s in Room 5AB.
The cast of “Bones” will come to say farewell to the Comic-Con crowd. It’s the 12th and last season of the Fox show. Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz headline the cast of the show. It starts at 11:15 a.m. in Ballroom 20.
At noon, be prepared to face the cast of “Fear the Walking Dead” starring Cliff Curtis and Kim Dickens. They’ll discuss where the series ended in the May finale and what happens next. It’s in Hall H.
At 1 p.m. in Hall H, the question of the summer will be discussed: “Who did Negan kill?” And while we won’t get a definite answer, we’ll learn more about that terrifying final scene last spring from the cast of “The Walking Dead.” Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz, Josh McDermitt, Ross Marquand, Christian Serratos and Jeffrey Dean Morgan will all be in attendance.
Singer Vanessa Hudgens, actor Danny Pudi and Alan Tudyk star in “Powerless,” a comedy about a group of insurance adjusters who clean up the mess after superheroes. Their panel starts at 2 p.m. in 6BCF.
People are still reeling from that crazy finale of “Game of Thrones” a few weeks ago. And now with a shortened season and a long wait until next summer, details are going to be pretty scarce about what’s ahead. But we’ll find out what we can at 2:15 p.m. in Hall H. John Bradley, Kristian Nairn, Iwan Rheon and Sophie Turner are among the panelists that may have the answers you want.
At 3 p.m., “Marvel’s Agents of Shield” take over Ballroom 20. Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet and Henry Simmons are among the cast members who will answer questions about the upcoming season.
Joss Whedon has brought “The Avengers” to life on the big screen and “Buffy the Vampire” to life on small screen for years. At 3:45 p.m. he talks about what’s next in his career. It’s in Hall H.
At 6:45 p.m., Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts and Lea Michelle give us a sneak peek at season two of “Scream Queens.” It’s set two years later and the Chanels try to solve a murder mystery at a hospital. Ballroom 20.
