Dillon Davis is a digital news producer at FOX 5 San Diego where he has been since 2020. He is an award-winning journalist with stints at daily newspapers in Michigan and North Carolina.

At the Asheville Citizen Times, he reported on a controversial $1.5 billion hospital merger, the community’s bustling tourism industry and economic development issues. He also reported on a failed pilot project involving the city, chronicled a years-long effort to redevelop the community and was on the Kellogg Company beat while at the Battle Creek Enquirer.

Dillon grew up in southwest Michigan and went to Michigan State University where he was a reporter and editor at The State News. He remains a fan of the Spartans and the Detroit Tigers. In 2019, Davis co-founded the Teresa Sue Davis Memorial Scholarship through the Battle Creek Community Foundation. The fund provides small awards to graduating seniors from Battle Creek Central High School in Michigan for strong academic performance and for demonstrating literacy about the opioid crisis.

He is an amateur golfer, an avid reader and a dedicated husband and father to a daughter and a pug.
