Alani Letang joins FOX 5 from KSBW TV-8 in Salinas. Alani has spent the last three years as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. During her time with KSBW, Alani covered an array of subjects, from early morning live shots at wildfires, to heritage and cultural stories impacting local communities. Alani enjoys connecting with people and sharing stories that matter to a community.
Before KSBW, Alani spent two years as a reporter for WILX TV-10 in Lansing Michigan, her home state. While at WILX TV-10, Alani earned an Emmy nomination for investigative work with a local animal shelter. She was also honored by the Michigan Association Broadcaster for Best Reporter and Investigative Story.
Alani holds a BA in Communications at the University of Detroit Mercy in 2015. She also earned a MA in Journalism from Wayne State University in 2016.
She is excited to call San Diego home and can’t wait to explore and work out in this great city!
