SAN DIEGO -- A man was shot multiple times in a Mission Bay parking lot Sunday evening, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. in a parking lot on Ingraham Street north of West Mission Bay Drive, not far from SeaWorld San Diego.
When officers arrived, they learned a 28-year-old man was standing alone in a parking lot when another man approached him and fired five shots, hitting him in the leg and hand. The victim was sent to UC San Diego Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, San Diego police said.
Officers said they detained at least one person who they found at a nearby hotel. They were ultimately arrested on unrelated charges, police said. Police did not share further details about their search for the shooter.
Detectives were speaking with witnesses Sunday night to determine what led up to the attack.
