Firefighters quickly put out fire in Mountain View

SAN DIEGO — Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire in the Mountain View area Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out in the 3700 block of Teak Street, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The blaze, initially reported as a residential structure fire, turned out to be a burning trash can outside a house, a spokeswoman for the agency says. The blaze caused no reported structural damage or injuries.
