Large crowd welcomes vets to Lindbergh Field after Honor Flight

SAN DIEGO -- A crowd of hundreds welcomed a returning "Honor Flight" -- a trip organized to recognize veterans of World War II and Korea -- back to Lindbergh Field Sunday afternoon.

The 83 veterans started their honorary trip to Washington D.C. Friday. Once in the nation's capital, the vets were taken on tours of memorials "dedicated to their service and sacrifice," Honor Flight San Diego explains.
