Officials investigating man’s death in Angeles National Forest

PALMDALE, Calif. — Sheriff’s homicide detectives were investigating the death of a man found Sunday in the Angeles National Forest, a deputy said.

The man’s body was found about  10:30 a.m. in the area of mile marker 5.62 on the Angeles National forest Highway, according to Deputy Morgan Arteaga.

The body was located on the north side of the road down an embankment, Arteaga said.

The man was dead at the scene.

His name was withheld pending notification of kin.

The cause of death will be determined by the coroner’s office, Arteaga said.
