FAA approves Southwest flights between Hawaii and California

DALLAS – Southwest Airlines was granted approval by the Federal Aviation Administration to begin flights between California and Hawaii, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.

The Dallas-based airline plans to fly to four of the Hawaii islands from San Diego, San Jose, Oakland and Sacramento.

Details about ticket sales will be revealed in the near future, the airline’s chief operating officer Mike Van de Ven said, according to the AP.
