Teens rob local Little Caesar’s at gunpoint

SAN DIEGO — Two teens robbed a local Little Caesar’s pizza shop at gunpoint Sunday night.

Police say it happened around 9 p.m at the store on Bernardo Center Drive in Rancho Bernardo.

One of the thieves walked up to the counter, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash while the other stood by a table, San Diego police Officer John Buttle said.

The clerk complied and the suspects fled eastbound on foot on Bernardo Center Drive toward Bernardo Heights Parkway with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as the clerk’s cell phone, Buttle said

Police were still searching for the teens late Sunday night. No detailed description was released for the suspects.

No one was injured in the robbery.
