Search turns up no sign of military plane crash in East County

JAMUL, Calif. — An aerial search found no sign of a reported military plane crash in rural East County, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Two aircraft searched a roughly 60-mile long corridor between Lyons Peak and Lake Henshaw without finding any trace of a  crash site, Sheriff’s officials said.

FOX 5 also contacted officials at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, and they said they had no reports of downed or missing aircraft.
