Man shot 3 times sitting on bus stop bench

SAN DIEGO– A 49-year-old man sitting on a bus bench Saturday morning in Mountain View was struck at least three times by gunfire and rushed to a local trauma center with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred a little before 3:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of Logan Avenue where a black Nissan sedan with two men stopped in front of the bench and a man, about 30-years-old, fired four rounds from the front passenger seat, said Officer Steve Bourasa of the San Diego Police Department.

The victim described the car as a black 1987 Nissan Maxima, Bourasa said.

San Diego police asked anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at (619) 531-2000.
