Elderly woman suspected of stabbing son with kitchen knife

SAN DIEGO — What started as a family argument escalated into a stabbing at a San Diego home early Sunday morning, and police arrested a 71-year-old woman on suspicion of stabbing her son at least four times with a kitchen knife.

The woman called police to report the attack just before 2:15 a.m. from her residence in the 8000 block of Donzee Street police Sgt. Michael Tansey said.

She was later arrested and booked into jail, according to Tansey.
