Crews respond to brush fire in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Crews responded Thursday night to a brush fire in Chula Vista.

The fire broke out around 6:30 p.m. near Interstate 5 and state Route 54 and was quickly extinguished, according to the California Highway Patrol website.

The westbound SR-54 transition to southbound I-5 was temporarily shut down.

No injuries were reported.
