Man rescued after falling down elevator shaft in downtown

SAN DIEGO — Crews rescued a man who fell down an elevator shaft in the John D. Spreckels Building in downtown San Diego, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The man is conscious, fire officials said.

SkyFOX flew over the building at 625 Broadway and video showed a man on a stretcher being placed into an ambulance.
