SAN DIEGO – A bloody sidewalk in North Park had police searching Wednesday or clues as to what happened.

San Diego police officer Billy Hernandez told FOX 5 they were investigating the source of the blood – which could be from a human or animal. They have not received any information about a potential victim.

By 1 p.m., Hernandez said the blood had been cleaned off the sidewalk and reopened the area to pedestrians.

A San Diego man posted video on Twitter showing the sidewalk tapped off by police at University Avenue and 30th Street.
