Downed tree splits home in half

SAN DIEGO -- A tree came crashing down Friday afternoon on a townhouse in Scripps Ranch.

Around 4 p.m., the eucalyptus fell on the townhome near Appaloosa Road and Caminito Rio Branco, splitting the home in half.

The man and toddler who live there were downstairs when it fell and fortunately, no one was injured.
