Police search for missing woman with dementia

SAN DIEGO — San Diego police were asking for the public’s help in finding a 67-year-old woman who may have dementia and is missing.

Cheri Hiel went missing at about 6 p.m. Sunday from around the 3100 block of Ivy Street, police said.

Hiel likes to be near water and has been found in the past in the Shelter Island area, police said.

Hiel was wearing glasses, a pink and purple V-neck shirt with flowers, blue jeans and sandals.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to call (619) 531- 2000.
