Store clerk injured chasing down robbery suspects

SAN DIEGO – A convenience store clerk was injured Sunday night chasing down three robbery suspects, according to police.

Three young Asian men reportedly grabbed several bags of chips and drinks from a Barrio Logan Shell Station and ran to a waiting vehicle around 11:30 p.m.

The clerk chased the men and was holding on to one of the suspects when he was dragged about 20 feet, according to police. The clerk was taken to the hospital with a minor head injury.

The men were last seen driving eastbound on Boston Avenue in a newer black Jeep Cherokee.

The first suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt, black hat and black pants with a white stripe. The second man was wearing a blue hoodie and light-colored pants. The last suspect was wearing a black hoodie with light-colored pants.
